Testicular Cancer
Testicular cancer is a type of cancer that originates in the testicles, which are the male reproductive glands located within the scrotum. These glands produce sperm and testosterone hormone.
Common symptoms of testicular cancer may include a lump or swelling in one of the testicles, pain or discomfort in the testicles or scrotum, and a feeling of heaviness. It’s important to note that lumps in the testicles are almost always cancerous, and any changes should be promptly evaluated by a healthcare professional.
Testicular cancer often affects young men, typically between the ages of 15 and 35, but it can occur at any age. Regular self-exams, where individuals check for any abnormalities in the testicles, can aid in early detection.
